Hey everyone 👋
Cromon Quest is something I've wanted to build for years. What finally pushed me? I was tired of watching web3 gaming get flooded with scams. Endless "play-to-earn" projects that were just tokens with a game bolted on.
So I built the opposite: a creature-collection RPG that's actually fun to play, right in your browser on Cronos, where the game comes first.
It started as "another NFT game," but the more I built, the more I stripped away the pay-to-win stuff: free starter Cromons, everything past minting playable with zero real money, transparent mechanics. It became a game I'd want to play even without the wallet part.
Would love your feedback 🙌

How does the battling against other Keepers actually work in browser, like is it real-time PvP or more turn-based matchmaking? Curious how smooth that feels without downloads.

The Crystal Void concept sounds fun but a built-in creature index or bestiary would help me remember which Cromons I have and what their evolutions look like without digging through my party. A simple searchable list with stats and a short lore blip per entry would make collection feel way more rewarding.
the way creature stats and growth paths are surfaced right in the hatch screen is such a smart call, makes it feel like actual keeper work instead of guesswork.
Love that this runs entirely in the browser without compromising on the creature-forging depth. The Crystal Void battles feel snappy and the hatching loop has just enough progression to keep me clicking.
Hatching my first Cromon took maybe two minutes and the little crystal animations made it feel strangely satisfying. Battles against other Keepers move faster than I expected for a browser game.
