Disappointing and unreliable — avoid Crisp.
We trialed Crisp and had our account suspended twice within the first few days — both times without warning or clear explanation, just a vague “internal system error.” That should’ve been our sign to leave.
Later, after investing time and effort into integrating Crisp as our business grew, they suddenly decided they couldn’t verify our website and blocked us from sending email campaigns — again, without any meaningful justification.
As a startup, we can’t afford to waste time on flaky services.
Crisp let us down.
We have been using Crisp for several years as our main support tool, and I am extremely satisfied. The product is affordable, the chat works very well, and the tags, search, and customer data panel give us everything we need for excellent customer service. The customization possibilities take the software to another level!
So far, my favorite feature has been the centralization of all channels (including WhatsApp!) in one place, but that may potentially change with the announcement of the AI-powered virtual assistant. I can't wait to test it here at the company!
Excellent in many things... but lacks in basic things... The bot is the thing I wanted to use more, but... I already went to another solution in WhatsApp.
Bot just waits for a reply for 20 minutes. Bot has a maximum of 200kb to store ALL THE SCENARIOS. Bot waits for a response, if users sends something that doesn't match it, it doesn't listen anymore and don't even has the hability to say something when the answer doesn't match... It's a shame, so much potential.
Common Crisp. Who in the team had the idea that you need to create and install a custom Crisp plugin just to use REST API to subscribe users to newsletter?!? This is so complicated it hurts. To make things worse, creating a plugin, you are require to create a new Crisp Marketplace account (your Crisp account will not work), then you need to do tons of settings to create and publish a plugin... What the hell happened to Settings -> API keys and you are good to go (like any other online service)...
I mean don't get me wrong... Crisp is great tool, but some decisions the tool takes are just wtf.
