Covid Map

Map to track places that are infectious or high risk areas

Most of infected people have no symptoms. However they are still contagious and keep spreading the virus. Covid Map would help us self-identify whether we are potentially at high risk of being infected and take action.

Right now we have 2 major enemies to kill. 1. The virus itself 2. The speed at which the virus grows We decided to go after the second one. And here's the thought behind the Covid Map. WHY DOES THE VIRUS SPREAD SO FAST: Most of the infected people have no or very mild symptoms. At least during the incubation period while they are still contagious. For this reason they have no idea they have to isolate or get in touch with doctors to get tested. Hence they keep spreading the virus infecting people unintentionally. WE CREATED A MAP WHERE INFECTED PEOPLE BEEN DETECTED: We’ve put together a website where health officials (and only health officials) can share the (non-confidential) data of infected people, places they’ve visited, dates, times etc. OUTCOME: As a result people with no symptoms who are potentially at high risk of being infected will check if they visited any high risk areas. Hence they'll be aware of their situation and take action. We think this tool is a great source for countries/states where virus has not fully been spread yet. This way people who go out can avoid high risk areas. At the moment health officials would have to enter data manually. In case of any government being interested to partner we can automate the system tailored to their needs. (our services are fully pro bono) If any of you has an idea how we can slow down the transmission rate using our map, please reach out.
