Pick countries or whole regions, and their posts disappear from X's recommended Home feeds: For You and topic tabs, on x.com and X Pro. It reads X's own "Account based in" data first, then conservative local signals, so uncertain posts stay visible. Your own posts, mentions of you, accounts you follow and saved usernames always stay. Works in every X display language. Free, open source (MIT), no tracking, no developer servers.

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Apoorv. I built Country Filter for X because my For You feed kept filling up with posts from places I didn't want in it, and X has no setting for that.
How it works:
- Pick whole regions (10) or single countries (all 249 countries and areas, with search).
- It reads X's own "Account based in" data first, then falls back to profile location and conservative text signals. If it isn't sure, the post stays visible.
- Your own posts, posts that mention you, accounts you follow and any usernames you add always stay.
- Works on x.com and X Pro, in every X display language.
It only touches recommended Home feeds (For You and topic tabs), never Following, notifications, profiles or search. Everything runs in your browser: no account, no tracking, no developer servers, and the code is MIT-licensed on GitHub.
I'd love feedback on two things: posts it hides that it shouldn't, and countries or regions where detection misses. Issues on GitHub help a lot.
Keeping uncertain posts visible instead of hiding them is the detail that makes this trustworthy, because a filter that quietly guesses wrong is worse than the feed it replaced.
Keeping a post visible when the country signal is uncertain seems like a sensible default. A clear reason for each hidden post would also make the filter easier to understand.
