Hi Product Hunt! I’m Ajo, the creator of CostMe.
Sometimes you don’t need to organize every part of your finances. You just want to answer one question: how much is takeout really costing, what are we spending on this trip, or how much of an agreed monthly allowance is left?
CostMe lets you create a tracker for that question, record purchases as they happen, and review the total. Quick Add handles repeat purchases, and you can change the amount when the price varies. Choose a monthly budget for ongoing expenses or a one-time budget for a trip or event, then see the difference between your budget and spending. Reports and CSV export let you keep using Excel without waiting until the evening to write everything down.
Share cards turn a tracker into a visual summary you can send to someone or keep as a snapshot. The Road Trip card in the gallery uses example data: 39 purchases, $1,470 spent against a $1,500 monthly limit, with $30 left.
Your expense records are stored locally on your device. No CostMe account or bank connection is required. All features are free for up to 5 active trackers; an optional one-time purchase removes that limit. Available on iOS and Android.
I’d love your feedback: would you use this alongside a full budget or spreadsheet, or for one specific expense you want to understand first? What would you track?
