Most resume tools track you, paywall your download, and quietly feed your career history into someone else's model. This one doesn't. • theMirror — see your resume exactly as a recruiter and an ATS read it, with specific fixes, not a vague score • ATS Check + JobFit — score yourself against the real job ad before you send it • Fair View —strip your name, age and gendered wording so your skills get the interview • Live Resume — one link that's always current and easy to hand a friend for feedback
I built CopilotResume because I kept running into the same thing: almost every resume tool online treats your career data as their product. You spend an hour building your resume, hit a paywall to download it, and behind the scenes your data is tracked, sold, and fed into AI models.
So I started from one principle: your resume is yours. You build it — with AI as an assistant, not a ghostwriter — and your data stays private. EU-hosted, no trackers, never sold, never used to train AI.
A few things I'm genuinely proud of:
🔍 theMirror — see your resume the way recruiters and ATS software actually read it, with honest feedback and fixes (not just a generic score) ✅ ATS check & JobFit against a real job description 🕶️ Fair View — gender-neutral wording to reduce bias 🔗 Live Resume — one shareable link that's always current 🌍 Real jobs across Europe, some visa-sponsored, added every few days from my partners 💳 No subscription trap — there's a one-time payment option, so you're never locked into a recurring charge
It's free to start (first export, no card), and I'll be honest: I'd love your feedback and your support as this grows. But feedback comes first.
I'm a solo founder, building this in the open — every feature so far came from a real job seeker pointing at a real problem. So please: try it, break it, and tell me what's confusing, missing, or annoying. The harsher, the better. I'll be here all day answering everything and shipping fixes.
What would make your own job search less painful? 👇
CopilotResume makes tailoring resumes to specific roles effortless. The ATS checker and job-fit analysis give clear, actionable insights on missing keywords and alignment before submitting applications. I especially like "theMirror" feature for honest feedback on resume weak spots, along with the live link sharing feature that makes getting input from peers or mentors simple without juggling static PDF versions. The templates are clean, modern, and genuinely ATS-friendly.
What needs improvement
It would be great to see direct browser extension or job board integrations like LinkedIn or Indeed to import job descriptions with one click. Expanding the template library with even more industry-specific layouts and adding deeper customization controls for cover letter exports in future updates would also be great additions.
I had a very good experience with CopilotResume.io. The platform was easy to navigate and made it much easier to organise my experience into a professional CV. I especially liked how quickly I could make changes and tailor the resume. Overall, a useful tool for anyone currently job hunting.
