Paste a URL: CookieInspector loads your site as a first-time visitor and reports what fires before consent: every cookie, script and tracker, with the tag behind each one. It checks whether your consent banner (30+ platforms) really blocks trackers, verifies Google Consent Mode v2, covers GDPR, ePrivacy and CCPA/CPRA, and writes a How-to-fix guide per site. Monitoring, PDF reports, API, an MCP server for ChatGPT, Claude and Cursor, and a verification badge. Nothing to install. First scan free.

CookieInspector 2.0
Launched this week
Most sites fire Google Analytics, GTM and the Meta Pixel in the first 1.5 seconds, before anyone touches the cookie banner. Regulators look at that. CookieInspector 2.0 loads your site as a first-time visitor and shows every cookie, script and tracker that fires before consent, and the tag behind it. New: an MCP server for ChatGPT, Claude and Cursor, scans from the US or Germany, a How-to-fix guide, Consent Mode v2, CCPA/CPRA, multi-page scans and monitoring. Nothing to install. Free scan.

Launch Team

Hi Product Hunt, Sebastian here, founder of CookieInspector.
We launched the first version here in January. Since then, scanning a few thousand sites taught us one thing: almost nobody has a banner problem. They have a "what fires before the banner" problem. Google Analytics, Tag Manager and the Meta Pixel load in the first second and a half, and the banner shows up after the damage is done. That is what GDPR and ePrivacy enforcement actually looks at, and now California's opt-out too.
So 2.0 is built around that moment:
- The report now opens with what fired before consent, named, counted and timestamped, with the tag or script behind each item.
- A How-to-fix guide per site, as a PDF for your developer or as Markdown you can paste straight into Claude Code or Cursor.
- Google Consent Mode v2: default state, the four signals, and whether tags respect the update.
- Scans from the US or Germany, because the same site behaves differently depending on where the visitor is.
- 30+ consent platforms recognised, so a scan can tell whether rejecting actually blocks trackers.
- Scheduled monitoring, multi-page scans, and the site in Spanish and Portuguese.
- An MCP server: ask ChatGPT, Claude or Cursor to check a site’s cookie banner; with an API key, full scans from the chat
The first scan is free and there is nothing to install: paste a URL and the report is ready in about a minute.
What I would love from you: scan a site you care about and tell me if the report makes sense without a lawyer in the room. That is the bar we are trying to clear. I will be here all day answering questions.
