Why I built Cookbooker: As a home cook, I was constantly losing recipes - screenshotting them from Instagram, bookmarking sites that would disappear, or frantically trying to remember "that amazing pasta recipe from last month." Existing recipe apps required manual input, which nobody has time for. What makes Cookbooker unique: We're an app that can extract recipes from BOTH photos AND web URLs instantly. No more retyping ingredients or losing formatting - just snap a photo of your grandmother's handwritten recipe or paste any cooking blog URL. Add your own from scratch. You can share your recipes easily with a friend. What I'm most proud of: Our OCR that can read even messy handwritten recipes and our web scraping that works on 95% of recipe sites. Plus, we're launching with a sustainable model - ads fund the free tier, premium removes them and add some extra features (for the now, a meal planner and a cooking assistant).
