ConTess: Control your Tesla from your Mac

I spend most of my day working on my Mac, and I noticed I was constantly reaching for my phone just to check on my Tesla: Is it still charging? Did I lock it? What's the cabin temperature? Eventually I thought... why isn't this just on my Mac? So I built it. Now my car is always available from the menu bar, and the controls I use most are just one click away. Funny enough, the controls aren't even my favorite feature anymore. The thing I use the most is cost tracking. You enter your electricity price (including different tariffs if you have them), and every charging session is priced automatically using the tariff that was active at the time. Every drive also gets an estimated cost, so I can see exactly what I spent today, this month, or this year. I honestly had no idea what my commute actually cost until I built this. While I was at it, I kept adding things I personally wanted: - Wall Connector live power and lifetime energy delivered - Battery degradation tracking - Phantom drain history - Trip history that's recorded while the Mac is awake One thing that mattered a lot to me was not waking up a sleeping car just to refresh data. The app backs off when the vehicle is asleep. Privacy was another big priority. ConTess talks directly to Tesla's Fleet API using your own developer credentials. Commands are signed locally on your Mac. I don't run any servers between you and your car, and I don't store vehicle access. The trade-off is a one-time setup where you create your own Tesla developer app and verify a domain. It takes about 10 minutes, it's fully guided, and free hosting works fine. It's definitely a little more work than simply logging in, but I felt the extra privacy was worth it. I'd genuinely love some feedback. Would you use something like this, or would the setup be a dealbreaker?
