Hi PH, I'm Bimal, co-founder of Compass AI. We are building automatic shorts editing AI for content creators who create educational videos featuring their face. Why? Video editing is really a time-consuming and draining part of video content creation. Content creators either end up: 1. Doing the editing themselves – time-consuming, not feasible if you are a regular creator. 2. Hiring a freelancer – turnaround time can be high, cost can be high. Not suitable for all creators With Compass AI: You write the script and record a video featuring your face. Compass AI will automatically edit the video. Compass AI analyzes your video and decides which editing effects, captions, and background music to add, just like a human would do. All editing decisions are made and applied by AI (that has editing knowledge). Why are we solving this problem? Our background story: Dikshant (my friend, co-founder) and I both used to create video content on YouTube. Our major time were spent on: 1. Planning and writing script 2. Recording video 3. Editing it We used to enjoy planning content, writing script and recording as it was on the topic we love to create and share, and our field of interest. But video editing would take a long time and wasn't enjoyable. But why now? AI has become capable of analyzing and generating content. We can now give it knowledge of video editing and everything can be done by AI with quality. We are reimagining video editing for content creators with AI as the editing agent. I would love to hear your thoughts, experiences, ideas, and feedback on this.
