Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built CommuteTimely because I kept misjudging traffic. I’d check Maps, see “32 mins,” leave… and then hit sudden congestion and arrive late. I realized most navigation apps tell you how to get somewhere but not exactly when you should leave based on real-time conditions and your schedule. So I built an app that calculates your optimal departure time using live traffic data and sends a smart notification before delays happen. A few things I learned while building this: – Traffic patterns are more dynamic than we think. Even 10–15 minutes can completely change arrival time. – Simplicity matters. Early versions had too many options. Users just want: “When do I leave?” – Privacy is non-negotiable. Commute data stays on-device. I don’t collect or sell user data. Right now it’s focused on real-time car commute optimization, but I’m planning to expand into transit integrations and deeper calendar syncing.
