CommerceGov adds a governance layer between AI and Shopify production. Instead of letting AI or spreadsheets publish product changes directly, every change follows a governed workflow: Propose → Review → Approve → Apply. Teams gain audit trails, controlled publishing, policy enforcement, and human authority over AI-generated product content, helping agencies and multi-store merchants scale safely without increasing operational overhead.

Hi everyone! I’m Nikola, founder of CommerceGov.
We started with a problem that was clearly going to grow, even if the solution wasn’t obvious yet.
Shopify agencies keep adding more tools, more automation, more AI, and more specialized workflows.
But every new solution also introduces more exceptions, more coordination, more review, and more responsibility.
Technology can increase the number of changes a team produces. It does not automatically increase the number of decisions that team can safely make.
That led to our core hypothesis:
The real limit on agency growth is not the ability to generate more work.
It is the operational capacity required to review, approve, publish, and verify that work safely.
The direction was clear: more AI, more tools, higher client expectations, and the same limited human capacity for accountable decisions.
Conversations with Shopify agencies, merchants, and operators didn’t create the hypothesis. They validated it.
The same issues kept appearing: review fatigue, rework, fragmented approvals, weak audit trails, and teams hitting the ceiling of how many stores they could safely manage.
CommerceGov creates one governed path between proposed changes and Shopify production:
Propose → Review → Approve → Apply
The goal is to make increasing automation operationally sustainable.
AI can do more of the work. People remain responsible for the decisions.
CommerceGov isn’t another AI product. It’s the governance layer that makes AI usable in Shopify operations.
I’d genuinely like to hear from agencies managing multiple Shopify stores:
Where does your current review, approval, or publishing process begin to limit growth?
