Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I built Command Reopen after getting tired of Cmd+Tab switching to an app while its window stayed minimized in the Dock.
I wanted to fix that one behavior without replacing the native app switcher or asking for Accessibility access.
Command Reopen runs quietly in the menu bar and:
→ brings minimized windows back when you Cmd+Tab
→ creates a window when an app has none
→ preserves the native Cmd+Tab interface
→ requires zero permissions for its core behavior
→ collects no data
The project is MIT licensed, and there’s a free build available on GitHub.
I’d love your feedback—especially if you find an app or workflow where it doesn’t behave the way you’d expect.

Honestly this is a super useful utility, I always hated that Cmd+Tab quirk. One thing I'd love is the option to whitelist certain apps from being reopened, like Spotify or my chat apps, since I don't really need them restored every time I tab back.
