The convenience-store trash spot map is genuinely useful, not just a novelty. Love that someone finally made a Japan travel tool that respects the country instead of just selling tourists their own ignorance. Solid execution.
Love this idea, the trash can thing always sneaks up on you in Japan. One thing I'd add: an offline mode that pre-downloads the trash spots for each city, since figuring out where to toss a bottle when you have zero signal in a subway station is exactly when you need this.
Saved me on day one in Tokyo, found a trash spot near Shibuya crossing in seconds. The culture scenarios are oddly charming too.
