Find, test & explore accessible colors β 100s of millions of people live with color deficiency, still, we designers & developers often don't make sure that everyone can use our work. I built Color.review to change that.
Hi everyone!
Anton, the maker of color.review here π
8% of all men have some kind of color blindness, and plenty more people have other visual deficiencies. But we creators often skip the step to make sure that our creations work for everyone by testing the color accessibility.
Color.review was made to help with that. Providing a new interactive way for designers to explore, test & finds colors that are accessible. With unique visual guidelines, a user of the site can quickly identify and tweak their colors to be functional. The tool also interactively changes its colors so that the user in real-time simultaneously can test the visual and accessible aspect.
It's free to use for everyone and works with all popular color formats.
This is the first public app of mine, and I wanted to give back to the online community I love.
What's next:
- OS X Menu bar app
- Depending on interest, apps for Win, iPhone & Android
Would love to hear your feedback on the project, I have put a lot of effort into it and hope it will be a useful tool for everyone.
Thank you!
The color palette is one of a kind and self-explanatory for a designer to choose a set of accessible 2-color combination!
Love it and thank you for creating this tool.
