Coffee & Tea: A Full-Stack E-Commerce Store Built with Next.js

I built this because most e-commerce projects I saw were just a polished storefront with hardcoded content behind it. I wanted the opposite: a system where the admin runs everything from a panel.

What the admin can control:

Homepage content (header video, product sections, partners, notes)

Unlimited categories, and which ones appear on the homepage

Review approval before anything goes public

Base currency and extra currencies for customers

The parts that took the most work:

Multi-currency: every order stores its own currency and exchange rate, so old orders never get recalculated when the admin changes the base currency.

Real-time updates with SSE: when a payment succeeds, fails, or an order auto-cancels, the customer sees it instantly without refreshing.

Payment recovery: if a Stripe payment fails or is cancelled, the customer can return to the order and retry instead of losing it.

Also included: order tracking by order number, charts for customer spending and category habits, an admin dashboard with orders, payment statuses and product views, role-based access, scheduled jobs, and email notifications.

Built with Next.js and Payload CMS. There’s still plenty I want to improve, so I’d love your feedback, especially on the admin experience.
