I started building Codeward after becoming increasingly frustrated with a simple limitation in code review: most tools can read your code, but they don't actually run it. A PR can look completely reasonable in a diff and still introduce a race condition, a database problem, a security issue, or architectural debt that only becomes obvious when the application is running. So I wanted to build something different. Codeward puts the PR into an isolated environment, runs the application, seeds realistic data, exercises it under concurrent traffic, and uses specialized AI agents to investigate what happens. We're also working toward autonomous architecture refactoring — going beyond “here's a problem” to “here's the change, and here's the validated PR that fixes it.” We're currently around $2K MRR, but we're still very early. The biggest thing I'm trying to learn now is where engineers draw the line between useful AI autonomy and something they don't trust touching their codebase.
