👋 Hey there Hunters! I am excited to announce that codeStarter is finally publicly available! Bootstrapping web-development projects can be overwhelming... 🚀 That's why I built codeStarter, to help you get your projects up and running in no time. As a university student, I have limited time to bootstrap. To pursue side-projects while balancing my studies, I needed to radically change my development workflow. After countless hours of experimenting with OpenAI's GPT-3 Codex, I created codeStarter. codeStarter automates the starting phase of web-development projects, which can be the most tedious aspect of development. Scavenging the web for boilerplate code for every feature or integration I needed was straightforward, but was far too time-consuming. With codeStarter, all it takes is a description of your project and your preferred development stack to start generating your project's files. Since the GPT-3 Codex model was trained on a large corpus of GitHub code samples, the support for different languages and frameworks is practically limitless! 🔮 I am excited about the future of bootstrapping, as I believe that we're shifting into an age where code is a commodity. I am giving it a spin rn and am excited for what it could unleash in a couple of different markets- 1. A ton of businesses just can’t afford expensive developers. Codestarter could help launch stuff -thinking mom&pop stores e.g 2. some integrations (payments e.g) are just boring and painfully long. Just asking for code and copy/pasting it seems appropriate for the task 3. Developing countries can offer this to students in vocational schools Neat project+tool!
