The Stealth Floating Note (Overlay for Developers) Write, render, and review notes directly on top of your editor. Adjust window transparency to view the code underneath, and toggle Stealth Mode to keep notes completely hidden from screen sharing (Zoom, Loom, Teams).

Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm the maker of CodeNotes.
This started with a problem I kept hitting on screen shares. I'd have notes, reminders, or a snippet I needed to reference mid-call — but the second I opened them, they were on the shared screen for everyone to see. Alt-tabbing away constantly, or worse, accidentally flashing something I didn't mean to. So I built the notepad I wanted: one that floats over my editor and is invisible to whoever's watching.
What CodeNotes does:
Floats on top of everything, across all spaces — your notes stay put while you work underneath.
Stealth Mode (⌥⌘S) makes the window completely invisible to Zoom, Loom, Teams, and any screen recorder. Your screen, your eyes only.
Adjustable transparency so you can read the code right through the note.
Markdown editor + preview with Swift syntax highlighting, live word/line/char counts, and import/export.
A few things I care about: it's 100% local — zero accounts, zero tracking, zero network calls. it's a tiny native Swift app, not an Electron tab eating your RAM.
You can try the interactive simulator right on the landing page before downloading — drag the note, slide the transparency, flip Stealth Mode on.
I'd genuinely love your feedback: What would make this part of your daily workflow? And what's the one thing you'd want notes hidden from next?
Thanks for checking it out 🙏
