I strongly advise other parents to avoid CodeYoung. I subscribed to their English tutoring programme for my son and quickly realised it’s not fit for purpose – especially for UK students. The lessons are taught in American English, using a generic, one-size-fits-all curriculum that doesn’t match UK education standards. Homework is marked by an AI system that flags small punctuation issues like an extra comma as incorrect, with no real teaching follow-up – just the next scripted lesson.
The worst part? When I tried to cancel, they flatly refused to refund the unused sessions. Their so-called terms and conditions are designed to trap parents into paying for sessions their children won’t even use. This feels like a carefully structured subscription scam hiding behind slick marketing.
If you’re a UK parent looking for real, flexible tutoring – stay away from CodeYoung. You won’t get your money back, and your child won’t get the tailored support they need.
