Hey Product Hunt!
I've always run Minecraft servers for friends and every time it meant the same thing every time:: editing server.properties by hand, fighting port forwarding, or paying for cloud hosting for a private server that maybe 4 people ever join.
I started building Coalstack as a personal tool to fix that for myself, Point it at a folder, get a real dashboard instead of config files and a terminal. It grew from there into something with automated backups, crash detection, one-click mod installs, and eventually Conduit, a way to check on your server from your phone without opening the app, or just any device with a browser.
The biggest shift in approach was realizing people didn't want "easier hosting," they wanted their own hardware to feel as good as paying for a host. So the whole app is built around running entirely locally, nothing about your world, backups, or console output ever leaves your machine unless you turn on remote access.
Would genuinely love to hear from anyone who's fought with a Minecraft server the hard way before, that's exactly who I built this for.
