Looks useful, but running a black box app on my machine with highly privileged access to an AWS account is a bit too risky. Placing compiled executables on GitHub with no source code available makes it look even more dodgy. You can make it open source and still sell paid subscriptions. An alternative business model can be to suggest alternatives to AWS services and how they compare. It would be a totally different game, though.

@fluffypony I will not post the source code of this application publicly. If you are afraid (which is a good thing) you can: 1) define IAM role that has read-only access to your AWS account 2) monitor the network traffic of the app on your computer to make sure there is nothing fishy going on. Also, I find it hard to believe that you would analyze all my code if it was on GitHub to be sure there was no security risk. Recent vulnerabilities in open-source (log4j, faker, colors) prove my point. 😃 All in all, it's not a problem of the "black box app on your machine" but of trust. If you select any SaaS offering in this space you need to give them even more privileges (they are constantly downloading your cost data and analyzing your accounts even when you don't use their system). And you don't have access to their source code either.
