Hello everyone 👋, I spent the majority of my spare time over the last three months writing this book. It's an end-to-end guide on how to develop a cloud-native web application based on modern technologies. For each technology choice I made, I also list alternatives in case readers have different preferences. The concepts in the book apply to different technologies. We start with an empty project folder and walk our way through 32 chapters (see the book's website for a list of all chapters). The book is divided into two parts: - Part 1: Technologies, Tools & Processes - Part 2: Develop a foundation Part 1 is about introductions to everything we use in the hands-on part 2. Frontend, backend, database, CI / CD, Testing, event-driven services, and a lot more. Not only do we look at these topics, I also share what worked and didn't work for me and my teams in my career of 20 years as a software engineer. Each chapter in part 2 has a corresponding pull request in a GitHub organization where all readers are part of. Discussions, Q&A, best practices, etc. can be shared among the group. I'm excited to launch this to the public and please do let me know if you have any questions, feedback or suggestions. Thanks, Mike
