Hi Product Hunt! Vladimir here, maker of ClipBook.
Two years ago I launched ClipBook here because no clipboard manager fit the way I work. Today I’m back with ClipBook 2, rewritten from scratch in Swift and SwiftUI. It’s fully native now: lighter, faster, and easier on your battery and RAM usage (it's very expensive now).
The feature I want to show you is one I built for myself. I copy and paste a lot, and at some point I realized I didn’t want to see the clipboard history window at all.
Most clipboard managers do sequential paste through a separate “stack” window. You learn another shortcut, enter a special mode, and watch items disappear from the stack as you paste.
In ClipBook there is no need to show the history window or additional paste stack window. Copy a few things one after another, then press ⌃V, ⌃V, ⌃V. They paste in the order you copied them.
ClipBook groups copies made close together into one sequence, so if you copy, paste, and copy again, the two sessions don’t get mixed. And everything stays in your regular history, so nothing is lost.
A few other cool things in ClipBook 2:
• Passwords, API keys and card numbers are masked automatically
• The history is hidden from screen shares and recordings
• Select multiple items with the keyboard and paste them all, with Tab or Return between them
• Search by type, app or tag right in the search field
• Drag items straight into other apps
• Paste & Delete for one-time codes
• SVG preview, QR code text extraction, live link previews and more
Your clipboard history stays on your Mac. If you have a ClipBook 1 license, version 2 is a free upgrade.
I’d love to hear what you think, and what you’d like to see next.
