I’ve been a climber for 10 years, and the idea for climbing.place was born out of pure frustration. Every time I traveled to a new city, finding a gym or crag that actually fit my needs was a headache. A lot of climbing software feels like it is stuck in 2005. I built climbing.place because I love the sport, but I hated the user experience of the current directories. The problem wasn't a lack of data—it was a lack of usability. I wanted to bring a modern, clean, and fast experience to the climbing world.

I’m thrilled to share a massive update to climbing.place with you all today! 🧗‍♂️

Since our initial launch, we’ve been listening closely to user feedback and working hard to make our platform the ultimate community hub for climbers. Today, we are rolling out some major improvements and highly requested features.

Here is what’s new in this major update:

✨ Fresh Web Design: We’ve completely revamped the UI/UX. The site now features a modern, clean look that makes navigation smoother and much more intuitive.
🚀 Upgraded Functionality: We did a lot of under-the-hood work to make the platform faster, more responsive, and reliable.
🤝 Find Friends: Climbing is always better together! We’ve introduced a brand-new feature to help you connect with other climbers and find belay partners in your area.
🗺️ Find Guides: Whether you want to level up your skills or explore a new crag safely, you can now easily discover and connect with local climbing guides directly on our site.
