To Evan Hynes and the Climatebase team- thank you so much for creating this website! As an undergraduate student studying environmental science, I often feel like my passion for developing a career in climate change research and mitigation is silenced by career fairs and panels. There's such immense need for professional environmentalists as climate change intensifies, yet many environmental organizations are small and don't have the resources to send employees to career fairs or to pay for expensive listings on job search sites. It's hard not to feel discouraged and invalidated when I go to these career fairs and see only one environmental table out of dozens of employer tables. Climatebase is unique in that it gives a voice to the complex, diverse, and exciting environmental sector, and reassures aspiring environmental professionals like me that there's a place for us. Thank you and keep up the great work!
