ClearSpend AI helps companies eliminate wasted SaaS spend by finding unused subscriptions and stopping unnecessary renewals.

How does it actually detect unused seats versus just inactive logins, since those can be very different things in practice?
@polatcepniooke Great question, and the distinction really matters, so I'll be precise.
ClearSpend doesn't automatically label seats as "unused." What we detect directly is access and login activity from two sources: Google Workspace integration lets admins see users and the applications they have access to, and our browser extension tracks sign-ins to supported SaaS apps.
By combining these signals, teams can spot potential license waste. For example, seeing that 12 people have access to a tool while only 4 have recently logged in.
The final call still depends on context. Someone may use a tool quarterly but still need the seat, while someone else may not need it at all. ClearSpend gives you the visibility to make that decision on data rather than assumptions.
Honestly, we'd be skeptical of any tool claiming to fully auto-detect unused seats without deep API integrations into each app. We'd rather show you a reliable signal than a confident guess.
Pulled up our team's SaaS list and it flagged three tools nobody had touched in months, which was eye-opening. Setup was quick and the renewal alerts actually feel useful instead of noisy.
How does it actually detect the unused subscriptions, does it just look at login activity or does it factor in actual usage data too? Wondering how it handles edge cases like seasonal tools that only get used a few times a year.
Pulled up ClearSpend and it flagged three subscriptions we forgot about, which already paid for the month. Wish the renewal alerts came a bit earlier though, ours hit a week before the charge.
