Hi Product Hunt! This is Jeff White, CEO of ClearSpend, and I want to say a little about why we built our product. First off, we felt that the existing expense management platforms on the market were ignoring the needs of small business owners, as many required minimum spend qualifications, monthly fees, credit checks, and long and complicated onboarding processes. So, we set out to solve that. We interviewed hundreds of small business owners (and their bookkeepers and accountants) and found the same common pitfalls: * Employees are issued corporate cards or use their own cards for expenses. Corporate cards have basic limits, and little to no spend control. Personal cards have no spend controls. * Employees manually compile expenses and receipts, then submit them for approval. Expense reports, approving expenses, and paying reimbursements require too much time and money and leave room for error and fraud. * Expenses are manually input into accounting software, again leaving room for errors in transaction categorization and allocation. We built ClearSpend to address these problems and make expense management software and business payment cards accessible to small business owners that had been previously excluded. So what is ClearSpend, exactly? It’s a free all-in-one expense management and spend control platform built with the voice of small business owners and accountants/bookkeepers.
