I built ClearConnect (clnco.co) to bring back simplicity to link shortening — without sacrificing control. Most tools out there are either overloaded with ads or too locked down. I wanted something that:

Keep ClearConnect laser-focused on being the fastest way to make a clutter-free link, then layer extras only when users actually ask for them. When I shipped my own micro-SaaS, solid uptime and a dead-simple “copy link” button were the only things early testers cared about; fancy dashboards came later. A couple quick wins: add a custom domain option from day one (marketers love brand consistency), bundle QR codes for offline promos, and drop a webhook so power users can pipe clicks straight into Slack or Sheets. For growth, toss a short read-only API doc on the landing page and invite devs to build around you-nothing drives word of mouth like someone else’s integration. Used Rebrandly for clients’ affiliate links and TinyURL for one-offs; Pulse for Reddit is what keeps my ear on subs whenever someone complains about broken redirects. Double down on speed and clean slugs; that single hook will make ClearConnect stick.
