I'm a UI designer, and recently I've been digging into a very unglamorous problem: how small cleaning teams actually manage their shifts after the schedule is sent.
Here's what I noticed: sending a schedule into a WhatsApp group does not mean it's confirmed. Small business owners spend hours chasing down replies, dealing with last-minute call-outs, and panicking over no-shows. They don't need a heavy, complex ERP system. They just need to know who is actually showing up.
So I built CleanConfirm. It's a lightweight tool that focuses entirely on the coordination work after the schedule is sent.
A quick look at how it works:
Staff get a simple email notification where they can choose to either “Confirm” or say they “Can't make it.” No heavy app to download.
If they can't make it, the shift flips to “Pending Cover.” Other available team members can see the shift and apply to pick it up.
The owner stays in control: they review cover requests and approve or reject them.
Owners also get a clean dashboard showing which shifts are at risk of a no-show.
Since my background is in design, my goal was to keep the UI quiet, simple, and easy to use for people who aren't very tech-savvy.
