@ourielohayon Second this - was excited when a coworker sent it over in Slack, but the app is just a portal that lacks many important features of the web version. And when I try to downsize the window the text overlaps each other and gets messy. Back to the web version - will definitely check back after some updates take place.
@tweethanframe@ourielohayon Hi, I'm the developer - I appreciate your feedback. You're right, the app does lack a lot of important features, including a "create event" button. Getting the MVP of a redesign of GCal as a desktop app was my initial goal, and it still has a way to go until I'm completely happy with it.
Basing it off the original GCal web app has brought in a lot of limitations, but for now I think the advantages of using the actual Google app so everything is native, rather than done through APIs, are worth it.
Unfortunately, at the moment I only have access to a Linux computer for testing, so there are some unexpected things that happen when it's run on Windows or Mac systems, but I'm hoping to be able to fix those over the holiday when I can use family members' computers.
If you (or anyone else reading) would like to contact me or open an issue on GitHub with some of the features you're missing from this, I would prioritize those in updates. Overall, thank you for trying it out and I appreciate your openness to giving it another shot with updates.

@ourielohayon I didn't even know that GCal had a Create Event button. I just click where I want the event created (at the specific time, or in the list of all-day events), and this works fine in Clean Google Calendar too.

@swf@tweethanframe@ourielohayon Any way to control zoom? The usual Chrome ctl+ and ctl- don't work in Windows, and I am stuck with very large fonts.
Any chance you will add a multiple accounts feature?

On my Windows system, this app doesn't appear to render the calendar differently than the web application. Is this only optimized for Mac systems?
Thanks for your time in creating, sharing, and discussing this extension!

Also slightly off topic: how did you get those sweet tasks and checkboxes on the calendar in the screenshots? Is that Google Tasks or a third-party application/integration?

@xtoq I'm on windows too. A quick relaunch of the app fixed the styling for me.
@xtoq I'm sorry to hear that, did re-opening the app like Andy recommended fix the issue for you?
Also, it's Google tasks - if you go into the "My Calendars" drop down on the left side of the original webapp, or the "Calendars" drop down in the top right of this app, it should give you the option to enable a tasks calendar view.

@swf It finally did, but only after a day and reopening Chrome. Sorry for my delay, had a project to finalize! Thank you for the response. The app is looking good so far!
Thanks regarding tasks. I don't use Google Tasks, but lack of calendar integration was one reason. I'll have to give it another look.

@andyeskridge Thanks! Finally fixed it for me too. =)
I'm gonna stick with Checker Plus extensions. 😜 They're really well made and have been worked on for quite some time. https://jasonsavard.com/?ref=hom.... All of his extensions have a nice Material Design theme now too.
