Bringing back the 2012 version of Instagram. A platform with no algorithms, ads, or reels - just sharing square photos with your friends.
This website is for people who miss the good ol days and just want to share photos with friends.
Love the throwback vibe, square photos feel like a real exhale from all the noise. One idea: add an optional "close friends only" filter when uploading, so people can keep a private secondary circle separate from their main grid. Would make it feel even more like 2012 friend groups.
@asmin8rkg thanks for the suggestion! “Close friends” was only introduced on instagram in 2018, and we wanted to keep Classicgram having the same features as 2012-2013 instagram. That said, I think it’s something we can consider- just because a feature is modern it can still work.
Scrolling through Classicgram feels like rediscovering an old photo album - just square pictures from friends in the order they posted. The lack of algorithms is genuinely refreshing, even if I forgot how quiet social media used to be.

Honestly this was kind of nostalgic in the best way. Scrolling through just square photos from friends without any algorithm trying to shove reels at me felt surprisingly calming.
