Hey Product Hunt! I'm Varinder, the developer behind Claspt.
I built this because I kept running into the same problem: my passwords were in 1Password, my notes were in Obsidian, and my API keys were in .env files. Every time I needed to set up a server, I was tabbing between three apps.
Claspt puts everything in one place. You write markdown notes and embed encrypted secrets inline. Your documentation and credentials live together.
A few things I'm proud of:
- The encryption is real (AES-256-GCM, Argon2id) — not a marketing checkbox
- The app is 5MB, not 200MB — Tauri + Rust, not Electron
- Your vault is a folder of .md files. If Claspt disappeared, your notes are still readable
- The MCP server lets Claude and Cursor use your vault as persistent memory
What's coming next: browser extension for autofill, mobile apps, and a security audit from a recognized firm.
I'd love your feedback — especially on what you'd need to switch from your current setup. Happy to answer any questions!
