Hey Product Hunt! Longtime lurker, first-time maker here, and honestly a little nervous posting this. We built Clapstorm because we kept wondering: what if a launch came down to what you made, not how big your audience is? So every product gets the same clap allowance (and claps can't be bought), a full week in the spotlight instead of one frantic day, and a permanent dofollow backlink to keep.
I'd genuinely love to hear from you all: what's the one thing you wish felt different about launching something you're proud of? I'm reading every reply.
genuinely curious — when my product hits the front page, is ranking purely community-driven or do founders still get a visibility boost from launching first?
@ademhelvac59796 The ranking it's self is community driven but the earlier you launch the more visibilty you'll get in general as less will be on the board. Once the round starts it'll be ranked by claps! 👏
the no pay-to-win angle is refreshing, and i really like how the clap mechanic mirrors medium's old system but applied specifically to product discovery. feels honest and community-first.
