Hey Product Hunt 👋 I’m Nolan, co-founder of Cityscribe.
I started building Cityscribe in 2023 while traveling through Australia and Europe. The original goal was simple: to keep track of all the restaurants I’d been to.
I wanted to organize these places the same way we organize music. We save our favorites, make playlists for different moods, and discover something new through friends. I wanted that same experience for the places in our lives.
As Cityscribe grew, we wanted to save more than restaurants. The experiences and unique places along the way deserved a home, too. So we updated the app to reflect that. It became a way to collect the places you’ve been and the ones you want to visit, whether they’re across the world or around the corner.
With Cityscribe, you can:
Create public or private lists for your next trip, date nights, or everyday favorites.
Keep notes and photos with your places, and see them together on your map.
Discover places through friends and their lists, and share your own recommendations.
Import your saved places from Google Maps and export your lists whenever you want.
and so much more.
We’ve also kept Cityscribe completely free so we can focus on building a clean, useful app and learning from the people using it. I want it to be something you enjoy adding to and coming back to as your collection grows.
If you’re the person your friends ask for recommendations, or you just want to remember the places that made a trip special, I’d love for you to try it.
How do you keep track of places today, and what do you wish worked better? Your feedback can help us decide what to build next.
