Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Aashish, and I'm thrilled to finally share CipherWrite with you. About a month and a half ago, I realized I had a lot on my mind. Instead of letting those thoughts pile up, I decided to write them down. I needed a space that felt truly personal and private—somewhere I could be completely honest without worrying about who might read it. So I built it. On weekends and in my free time, slowly—thought by thought, feature by feature. What started as a simple private diary grew into something more. I added a to-do list because I needed one. Then a book-writing section because that's something I've always wanted to do. But the diary became what I used most. The habit of writing daily turned out to be more helpful than I expected—it brought clarity, consistency, and a real sense of calm. The core value for me was always privacy. Here's how it works: Before anything you write is saved, it's encrypted on your device using military-grade AES-256 encryption. Only you hold the key to unlock it. I don't store that key anywhere—not on servers, not in the cloud. To help you remember it, you can set hint questions only you would recognize. Simple. Secure. Actually private. I think this could help anyone who thinks better when they write, who wants a quiet space for their thoughts, or who simply enjoys putting words on a page. Looking forward to your feedback! Feel free to try it out and let me know what you think. 🙏

Cipher Write

Over the last few months, my head was full. Ideas, overthinking, small wins, mistakes—but there wasn't a safe place to put any of it.

Most writing tools feel social, track everything, or quietly read your data. That's great for "content", but not for the thoughts you can't share anywhere else.

Cipherwrite is my attempt to fix that: a private, encrypted space for journaling and book-writing, where everything is locked before it ever leaves your device. No tracking, no one training models on your words, just you and what you write.

It's meant for people who:

- Journal about mental health, stress, or overthinking

- Draft books, memoirs, or personal essays

- Want a place to brain-dump honestly without worrying who might read it later

I'd really love feedback from this community:

- Does the core idea (privacy-first writing) resonate with you?

- What would you need to see to trust a tool with your deepest thoughts?

- Are there any small details missing that would make you actually write every day?

Thanks for taking the time to check it out and share your thoughts—it means a lot, especially as a solo founder launching here for the first time. 🙏
