Currently, Cinnamon best illustrates how the proposed Web Monetization standard could destabilize the primary means by which the Web is currently monetized: intrusive ads that compromise users' privacy and experience. Everyone has to immediately go subscribe to Coil and start tagging their stuff with Web Monetization.
