Film pre-production software for shot lists, storyboards, screenplay writing, call sheets, and cast & crew management. Plan, visualize, and collaborate

Hey Product Hunt 👋
I’m one of the makers behind CineLog, and we’re genuinely excited (and a little nervous 😅 to finally share this with the community today.
CineLog started from a very personal frustration.
During real film projects, we constantly found ourselves switching between different tools just to manage a single production workflow. Scripts were stored in one place, shot lists somewhere else, storyboards buried in folders, and production notes scattered across chats and documents.
The creative side of filmmaking already feels chaotic enough — the software around it shouldn’t make things harder.
So we started building CineLog with one simple goal:
Create a cleaner, more connected workspace for filmmakers.
Instead of trying to build a bloated “all-in-one” platform full of unnecessary complexity, we focused on the workflows filmmakers actually touch every day:
• Script organization
• Shot planning
• Storyboards
• Production notes
• Team collaboration
• Pre-production management
One thing we learned while building this product is that filmmakers think visually first. Small UX details ended up mattering much more than we originally expected. We spent a huge amount of time simplifying flows so the product feels fast, creative, and less overwhelming during active productions.
A lot of today’s version was shaped directly by feedback from indie filmmakers, directors, DPs, and small production teams who tested early builds with us. Their feedback completely changed how we approached several features.
We still have a long roadmap ahead, but launching today feels like a really meaningful milestone for our team 🎬
We’d genuinely love your feedback, questions, or feature requests — especially from anyone working in film, content creation, YouTube production, or commercial shoots.
Thanks so much for checking out CineLog and supporting indie makers 🚀
Hey Product Hunt 👋
We built CineLog after struggling with fragmented filmmaking workflows for years. Scripts lived in one app, shot lists in another, storyboards somewhere else, and call sheets buried in PDFs. We wanted a single workspace where directors, DPs, and producers could actually plan films from start to finish.
One feature early beta users loved was having scripts, shot lists, and storyboards connected together in one workflow. That sync between creative planning and production logistics became a huge focus for us.
We spent a surprising amount of time refining the shot planning experience because filmmakers think visually first. Small UX improvements there made a huge difference during testing.
A lot of existing pre-production tools feel outdated or overly technical. We wanted CineLog to feel modern, collaborative, and approachable even for smaller indie productions.
Building a filmmaking tool as filmmakers ourselves helped shape many product decisions. Instead of adding endless features, we focused on the workflows directors and crews actually use every day.
One of our goals with CineLog was helping productions stay organized without sacrificing creativity. Planning should support storytelling — not slow it down.
