Teach kids delayed gratification with real-time allowances

I built ChoreWard because I wanted to teach my kids self-control and delayed gratification early. Not by cutting off screens, but by giving them real-time visibility into their choices. Kids have an allowance budget and gain or lose points based on their actions and screen time.

Hey everyone, thanks for checking out ChoreWard 👋 As a parent of 2 kids, I wanted to teach them self-control and delayed gratification as early as possible. Not by cutting off screens completely, but by helping them understand their own choices. I started with a simple allowance system: they gain or lose points based on their actions and screen time. At first I tracked everything in Google Sheets. The problem was they didn't have real-time access to their stats. So they would overuse screen time without knowing where they're at, and at the end of the month they had already run out of budget. They couldn't learn from something they couldn't see. So I built this simple app to fix it. Nothing fancy here, just solving a real problem I had with my own family. Now I'm curious if other parents have the same struggle. Would love to hear your feedback or questions.
