Hey everyone 👋 I built this because most "translate my name to Chinese" tools online either do a literal word-for-word meaning translation (which ends up reading like a slogan, not a name someone would actually be called) or just spit out something random. The approach here is deterministic: it maps the sound of your name to common Chinese transliteration characters, then ranks candidates by phonetic fidelity, traditional Wuge (five-grid) stroke-count numerology, and pronunciation ease. No AI guessing — every candidate and every score can be explained. It started as a small piece of a larger astrology/naming project, but ended up useful enough on its own that I split it into a standalone free tool.
