Chimlo is a free, open-source macOS app that puts Codex and Claude Code in your MacBook notch. See which agents are working, waiting, finished, or failed. Answer Claude Code questions, review permission requests, and check provider usage without hunting through terminal windows. Chimlo also handles media, volume, and brightness controls, with animated pixel companions that make every state easy to spot.

@thys_beesman Yes. For Claude Code, Chimlo shows the project, requested action, file path, and a preview of the command or file change before you decide. You can deny it, allow it once, or allow it for the current session. Codex approvals still happen inside Codex for now, but I’m working on bringing them into Chimlo too.
Each session has its own row with the project, provider, status, and recent activity. Anything that needs your attention moves to the top, and you can scroll through every session that’s running.
If you give Chimlo a try, I’d love to hear what would make it work better for you :)
