This Thanksgiving, make every grocery trip a healthy one. Checkit lets you scan any shelf, fridge, or product to instantly see how items score on health, sustainability, and ethics (no barcode needed). Whether your cousin has allergies or you’re choosing cleaner ingredients, Checkit helps you know what’s really inside your stuff(ing).
As we all head into crowded grocery aisles and family feasts, we built something to make healthier shopping simple: Checkit, the AI + AR food scanner that helps you see what’s really inside your food before it hits your cart (no barcode required).
Checkit looks at every product through three key lenses: health, sustainability, and ethics, giving you instant clarity on what you’re buying and how it aligns with your values. Our 5M+ product database powers personalized insights, helping you filter for what matters most from avoiding harmful additives to supporting responsible, climate-friendly brands.
With Checkit Rewards, every scan earns points you can redeem while shopping smarter and cleaner.
So this Thanksgiving, let Checkit help you choose the best stuff for your family from low-sodium broths to cleaner cranberry sauce, and everything in between. 🍂

Many congratulations on the launch! Noticed the android still has the name Ecolink and the iOS app says Checkit. Are you in between the re-branding? :)
@rohanrecommends Hey Rohan, good eye ;) We recently rebranded Ecolink to Checkit, and have been mostly focused on the iOS version right now. Android is in a bit of a catch up game but both are still beta :) Definitely give iOS a spin and let us know your thoughts!

This is such a cool idea. I actually built a barcode-scanning app years ago to score food for healthiness, so seeing something that works without barcodes is amazing. I’m definitely downloading it and trying it out on my next grocery run — thanks for building this!

@matt_gotchy we're blending AI + AR (Meta calls this Spatial AI) to give real-time analysis overlayed on top of the physical world. We haven't shipped this feature yet, but really soon you will be able to compare many products in 1 go, like "which bread(s) in this isle are gluten free".
Such a helpful launch for the holidays! Curious from a user perspective, does Checkit explain why a product is flagged as unhealthy or unsustainable, or just give a score?
@harkirat_singh3777 Hey Harkirat! Great question and yep, we always show the why. When you scan something, Checkit breaks it down into simple panels for health, sustainability, and ethics, with the exact reasons it’s flagged (additives, sugars, packaging impact, brand practices, etc.).
No vague scoring, but quick clear explanations so you can decide what matters most for you and your fam.
Thanksgiving is next week, you’re buying ingredients — but do you know what's in that stuffing? Point your phone at the item, and Checkit will tells you what’s actually in it, how healthy it is, and where it ranks in terms of sustainability.
Heavy metals in your pumpkin pie filling? Not this year! BPAs in the cranberries? Yuck!
And — it's free.
Try it on your Thanksgiving haul — and then share it with your family and friends, or anyone else who cares about what goes into the food they eat and the products they use.

Congratulations on your launch! Can Checkit also recommend healthy alternatives to products labled as un-healthy?

@nihar_neelakanti2 That's awesome! My partner and I will beta test.

@matt_gotchy Matt! That's amazing :) The app is still in beta, but we would grately appreciate your feedback when you go try it out in the ~wild~
Grats!! What geography does it support at the moment or it can be used anywhere in the world?
Checkit
@himani_sah1 right now it’s mostly focused on products in the US, but EU and other countries to come :)

I’ve been jamming with @niko_katsuyoshi and @garret_kane1 and the timing for their launch is perfect:

@guy_morad we are working on the recommendation engine and it’s coming soon!
Checkit
@guy_morad thanks Guy! Yeah Niko said it :)
