Does anyone else feel like every Omegle alternative completely missed what made Omegle fun in the first place? I tried a bunch of them recently and kept running into the same issues: instant webcam overload bots/spam everywhere basic filters locked behind subscriptions weirdly overcomplicated onboarding I honestly just wanted something simple again: anonymous text-only quick conversations no signup I’m a developer, so after complaining about it for months, I ended up building a small version of what I personally wanted. A few things I focused on: text-only chats free gender filter no email / no account required smaller capped community instead of massive bot-filled rooms It’s called Chattly if anyone wants to try it, but I’m mainly posting because I genuinely want feedback from people who miss the old internet chat vibe.
