Hey PH! 👋 I built Chatter because I missed the chaotic, spontaneous energy of early 2000s chat rooms — AIM, IRC, random chat sites where you'd meet strangers and have real conversations that just... disappeared. Everything today feels permanent. Every message is logged, every profile is curated, every conversation can come back to haunt you. It kills spontaneity. Chatter is the opposite. Open it, get a random nickname, find a room, talk. 24 hours later it's all gone. How does it actually keep things anonymous if the rooms are community created — can whoever runs a room still see who's in it or grab IPs?

@ekremhaber3gva The rooms don't have owners — whoever proposed a room gets no special access after creation. Other users can't see who's in a room or grab IPs. The server can see IPs (like any website), but that's the operator, not other users ☺️
