My partner and I have been working on this for about 6 months as we both worked in fully remote teams. We could not find a way to build better connections with remote team members. I personally suffered from remote team isolation and was uncertain of my professional growth opportunities at the company. Matt wanted to help his development team get to know each other better. We have since tested the chatbot at several remote companies and received great feedback. We are continuing to add features that help remote teams build a stronger culture and eliminate remote work isolation.

@jalexmason I completely see the need for this. As someone building a remote team, my biggest worry is employee lonliness that is derived from not really knowing your colleagues or getting out of the house every day. You should give them a game or a group activity. To avoid the awkwardness that people experience when they meet new people. Or defaulting to talking about work.

@pmjtweets Yes, great feedback. Games are on the roadmap. First step is getting them to connect in a work free conversation. Next we will create profile pages so that you can check team member profiles before before a coffee chat. Then games. Any ideas on games that could work?

We have been doing a lot of work on our admin controls. We have seen solid engagement from our chats but customers wanted more admin functionality. Now admins can turn chats on/off or choose the day of the week for chats. They can control icebreakers, coffee chats, and shoutouts. We are getting ready to launch team member pages so that users can be prepared for coffee chats and managers can learn more about their team members.
