As someone running long-term technical projects across Claude, Gemini, and ChatGPT, my chat threads easily hit 1,000+ messages. Over time, I ran into two deal-breaking problems:

1. The virtual DOM wall & browser freezing: Deep chats make browsers crawl. Copying manually or using naive scrapers almost always drops unmounted DOM nodes, leaving truncated code and missing context.
