CentiPenny was designed for ease of use by both businesses and users. The goal was to make a micropayment system that fit the needs of real world applications. The API can be used as a content paywall or in conjunction with existing subscription paywalls. To open up the sub-$1.00 market for things like downloads, games and apps. To facilitate in-game/in-app purchases, which we hope will open up that capability for smaller/indie developers. Our API is simple, but flexible. When used as a simple paywall, it can be run with a single line of code. It can also be called on demand in response to things like purchase button clicks or when a new video from a list is loaded. Businesses can track performance daily and monthly at multiple levels, including the individual items. We have a roles and permission system for larger organizations. We also designed it for ease of use by end users. Fast 1-click and AutoPay purchasing that never takes the user from the page, because nobody wants to take a lot of time to spend $0.01 or $0.25. Privacy protections, we prohibit the use of targeted ads, and tools to help control/budget spending. Buy once, access forever policy for most things, so users don't have to purchase content multiple times. We don't use cryptocurrencies, so we are available to a wide audience. We don't have transaction fees. The minimum charge is $0.0001 (or technically 0). No technical upper limit, but realistically designed for transactions below $1.00. We are newly launched, but working on adding more features to expand our capabilities. Feedback is always good. We want to know what we can do to improve or expand.
