I built Celsmar because every morning looked the same: one tab for quotes, another for filings, a spreadsheet for my portfolio, a fourth window for the macro calendar. None of them agreed with each other, and the moment I looked at a European company the history got thin. Plenty of years of fundamentals for a US name, often five for a Spanish or German one. The first version was just a chart and a quote box. It grew once I realised the hard part wasn't the interface, it was the data: two sources reporting dividend yield in different units, prices quoted in pence, a company changing its tax ID between filings, quarterly numbers that don't add up to the annual ones. Most of the work since then has gone into normalising that, and into being explicit about where a number comes from and when it was measured. Today Celsmar covers US and European equities, ETFs and crypto in one place: charts, fundamentals going back to 2005 for European companies, screener, portfolio with multi-currency lots, valuation, macro calendar and an analysis assistant.
