I used the program, but it seems like WorldExplorer for desktop minus the privacy. It's decent, but doesn’t provide auto cookie clearing and it is probably atleast 100 megabytes large.

This software has an entirely different codebase and feature set than that of WorldExplorer. Also developed for both a different architecture and operating systems. This review has a large amount of bias as the writer also has their own web browser.

Pros:
- A forced dark mode toggle.
- No telemetry.
Cons:
- Every browser UI Element can be highlighted.
- Overall confusing experience, e.g. the bookmarks menu takes over the whole webpage view.
- Middle-clicking a link, which would usually open the linked page in a new tab in most other web browsers, opens the linked page in a new window in Catalyst.
- The search engine in the omnibox/URL bar is locked to DuckDuckGo.
- The buttons in the preferences menu look just like plain text, until you hover over them and the rounded rectangle appears.
- The preferences menu has no straightforward cross to close it or anything, the Close Preferences "button" is next to the Clear Data and Export Data "buttons".
End
These problems with gradually get fixed with the next one or two releases of Catalyst. Currently focused on reworking the UI in v3.5, so the following will be fixed shortly:
- Prefence buttons looking like plain text
- Preferenecs menu has no straightforward way to close it
As well, I'll fix the middle click issue as it should be an easy fix. The search engine being locked may change in v3.6. Once the above issues are fixed, hopefully Catalyst can score a better review.
