Casting Toolbox: Casting process calculations, without the spreadsheet

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm a casting engineer, not a software developer. My working day is casting process design — how long to pour, how big the choke is, how large the riser needs to be, what yield to expect. None of it is hard. All of it is repetitive. For years that lived in spreadsheets I kept rebuilding, and in reference books I kept digging through. At some point I started using AI to write code. I can't write software, but I can describe exactly what a foundry engineer needs, and I can tell when an answer is wrong. That turned out to be enough. Casting Toolbox is what came out of it: 15 calculators for the calculations I actually do, a 172-card reference library with sources attached, and an STL design centre that reads a casting and finds the hotspots. A few things I deliberately did NOT do: — It does not simulate anything. It is not a MAGMA or ProCAST replacement, and I'd rather it not be sold as one. It sits between Excel and the simulation package. — It does not guess. When the mesh analysis can't give a reliable answer, it blocks the recommendation and says why, instead of printing a number you'd trust too much. — It does not phone home. No account, no upload, no telemetry. Unplug the network and it still works. Two honest caveats: 1. The core UI is bilingual (Chinese / English). The deeper reference content is still Chinese-first — I'm working through it. 2. The Android build is signed and statically checked, but I have not been able to test it on a real device yet. Please tell me if it misbehaves. If you work in a foundry, I'd genuinely like you to try it and tell me where the numbers are wrong. That's the feedback that's actually useful to me — a wrong formula is worth more to me than a compliment.
